About
Built by the community, for the community
PgDay Egypt 2027 is a free, one-day conference for people who use, run and build on PostgreSQL in Egypt and the region.
Lots of teams in Egypt run on Postgres, but there hasn't been a place for the people behind those databases to meet, compare notes and learn from each other. PgDay Egypt is that place: a single track of talks from people who use PostgreSQL every day, and plenty of time between them to talk.
Why PostgreSQL
PostgreSQL is the default choice for new projects, the migration target for teams leaving commercial databases, and the engine behind managed services on every major cloud. Its strength comes from its community, and we want Egypt to be a bigger part of it.
Who's behind it
The conference is organized by volunteers from PostgreSQL Egypt, the PostgreSQL user group in Egypt. PostgreSQL Egypt is an independent community group; PostgreSQL itself is developed by the PostgreSQL Global Development Group.
Meet the organizing committee, the people running the program, the venue and the day itself.
What we care about
How we run the day
Practical over promotional
Every talk is chosen for what you can take back to work on Monday. Sponsors support the day; they don't buy stage time.
Run by the community
PgDay Egypt is organized by volunteers from PostgreSQL Egypt. It's free and non-commercial, and it always will be.
Everyone is welcome
First-time speakers, first-time attendees, students and veterans, backed by a clear code of conduct that applies to everyone.
